Posted by miket - 07-14-09 08:20 - 7 comments
We are working directly with ACDelco on pricing for parts for the B-Body's and I am looking to you guys to help out in supplying me with the specific part numbers or items you feel are important. This is a good opportunity to help get the parts you want or need at a reasonable price and help out the forum. Feel free to post replys with what your thoughts are.

I am only looking for part numbers and descriptions- not pricing.

These items will be available through our site and discounted for 9C1.NET members.

:. Parts Source for our B-body's
Posted by miket - 12-16-07 12:50 - 21 comments
Guys-

With Dal taking a much needed break from parts sales and supporting the community, FocuzTech has begun to step up in providing new replacement parts for our B-Bodys. We have negotiated discounts with suppliers that will allow us to be price competitive in the market for (maybe all) B-Body replacement parts. Over the next few weeks new parts will be loaded into our store online for viewing and purchase there. Along with this increase in parts availability, we relocated our store to a dedicated set of hardware which has increased the speed of our store and thus made your shopping experience more pleasureable. Searches, page views and check are much faster than before-

As always we can be contacted via email, website and phone.

Our expectation is not to fill some big shoes left behind but add value to the community by providing parts....both replacement and custom for our B-Body's.

Some of you may recall b-body.org from several years ago. We had a nice group of posters there. Then suddenly the site disappears and turned into some kind of spam generating piece of crap. Well I have been watching for the URL to become available. Recently it did pop up as available so I snatched it up.

I've got a lot of work to do. But the site is basically up and going at this point.

http://www.b-body.org and http://forums.b-body.org/

Thanks to Mike for letting me post this here. I know we will have quite a few common posters as I see several people here from the old b-body.org.

:. B-Body/9C1 sightings

We try to spot "in-service" 9C1s from time to time, but what about the out-of-service cars? I know as much as I drive (35-40k a year) I am always spotting unique cars. Some are great, some are not.

This 9C1 was spotted here in Crawfordsville on Lafayette Avenue, just down from the now "old" sheriff's Dept. I was a little confused at first, thinking this was DiGiTaL D, black 9C1, CB antenna, DARE plates (which he no longer has). It appears to be a the whole family in this 95 or newer 9C1.

This pile of blasphemy was spotted in Indianapolis near the Indianapolis Intn'l Airport. It was disgusting. It appears to be a Caprice LS with SS interior and "Gull Wing" doors.

This car was located in a repo lot in Thorntown, where I work. I was on patrol when I spotted the N97 wheels. It appears to be a 93-96 with N97s, a red paint job, and "Altezza" tailights. Apparently they had to break a window or two during the repo process.

:. '94 Caprice Classic 9C1 for sale $2000 (Sonoma County, San Francisco Bay Area)
Posted by Becket - 07-11-10 15:49 - 0 comments
* Model: Chevrolet Caprice Classic 9C1 (ex-police) - $2000 * Engine: 5.7L V8 MPI * Year: 1994 * Style / Body: Impala SS styled White Sedan 4D with dual manual spotlights (as used by previous uniformed owners) the vehicle is as follows: interior is clean but somewhat worn, there are some tears to seat covers and minor cracks in interior door vinyl, I have repaired what I could in what time I have to do such things. All electrics are fully functioning although one of the rear windows could use some minor servicing (a guide is awry I think). There are 2 or 3 minor dents in door panels and there are tiny chips of paint missing in a couple of unobtrusive places, the clear lacquer layer has largely lifted from the trunk hatch paintwork (I've spent some time levelling this as part way to reconditioning it). There is no rust. There are no mechanical problems nor have there ever been (to my knowledge that is.) I got it from my landlady and she, honestly, is elderly, disabled and wheelchair bound and I dont think she tore the roads up very much in the 8 years she had it. Her late husband was the guy who styled it like an Impala SS, he was a master mechanic who rebuilt and restored about a dozen vintage automobiles and he paid meticulous attention to detail and was a stickler for powerful engines tuned to their peak potential. I checked over the tranny hosing because of some minor drips a year or so ago, all loose fitting are now secure and sound. I replaced the tranny fluid with new and there are no known problems with either transmission or engine, suspension is fine as are the brakes. It's got about 170k miles on the clock and the car is running well. Its never failed smog yet as far as I know. It was last registered with the DMV back in 2008 so there will be a little backtax to pay. email me at kieranicusrex@gmail.com if interested, I am located in Sebastopol, Sonoma County, California. Kieran MANY THANKS TO THE GUYS BEHIND 9C1.NET FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE

:. 94 Caprice 9c1 $1,200 in Eugene Oregon
Posted by jimreed - 07-6-10 22:44 - 0 comments
94 Chevy Caprice Classic
9C1 Police Package
Strong LT1 Engine with 145k miles.
Located in Eugene Oregon.
Asking $1,200 obo

This car is in good mechanical condition and has been my daily driver for the past eight years. I purchased it directly from the State of Oregon and have kept it running well. I have not modified this car – just did the basic things to keep it solid. New rebuilt transmission (4L60E) was installed 20k miles ago. Replaced the water pump, electronic distributor (optispark). It has cloth seats, rubber floor, power windows and doors, excellent AC, ABS breaks, driver-side airbag, intermittent wipers, full size spare, and snow chains.

It has a few unusual things. It currently has over-sized rear tires on the original rims. The speedometer display is linked to the headlight switch and the horn is linked to a floor switch. These could be rewired easily but I never found the need.

I am pretty sure it will need front brakes soon- started squeaking about a week ago. The relay for one of the two radiator fans needs to be replaced.

This car is reliable and fun to drive.
I have more pics if you are interested.

contact james_reed@comcast.net with any questions.
